Main applications for compact jet-pulse air intake units are air intake systems for diesel & gas engines. These self-cleaning filters can also be used for other rotating machines such as large blowers or compressors. On very polluted sites like rock processing plants, mines or cement plants, compact jet-pulse can also be used on ventilation systems to protect operators in control rooms or to protect sensitive components in electrical rooms for instance. Residual dust removed from the airflow can be either continuously extracted with secondary dust extraction fan or it can be simply stored in dust drawers located on the bottom of dust hoppers underneath the filter elements.

Inertial separators have been specially designed for areas with a high dust concentration. SAI inertial separators with secondary extraction give excellent results in sandstorm areas. These sand filters can be used alone or as pre-filtration stage in order to reduce the maintenance costs of more efficient filters located downstream.
