A Power Plant in a demanding environment
After 20 years of operation on a coastal site exposed to a highly corrosive saline environment, the ventilated acoustic enclosure of a gas turbine and its generator at EDF power plant showed significant signs of deterioration. EDF SEI Guadeloupe naturally turned to SAI to carry out the complete refurbishment of this critical acoustic enclosure.
A comprehensive service, from audit to installation works
Thanks to its proven expertise and in-depth knowledge of this type of installation, SAI was able to deliver a tailor-made retrofit solution perfectly suited to the site’s constraints.
Our scope of work covered the entire cycle:
- On-site technical visit and audit
- Detailed costing and technical recommendations
- Fit for purpose design and manufacturing of new components
- Preparation and supervision of installation works by CL2R, SAI’s sister company within Viverde Group.
Among other things, the supply included the following :
- Complete refurbishment of the turbine auxiliary compartment enclosure
- Replacement of the air intake duct
- Replacement of roof elements
- Replacement of access doors.
